What is teeth whitening?

Teeth whitening process whitens discolored teeth caused mainly by coffee, tobacco and excessive fluoride treatment. According to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, when it comes to improving your smile, 90% of people answered whiter teeth. In addition, The American Association of Orthodontists figured that over 90% of patients preferred teeth whitening.

Why do I need it?

Teeth tend to become discolored over time as people use coffee, tobacco products, certain antibiotics, and overused fluoride. Whitening is a simple process, and it can be easily performed in our Turlock office.

Side Effects

There are some patients that experience teeth sensitivity after the whitening process. Due to the peroxide in the whitener, sometimes it irritates the nerve of your teeth. The teeth sensitivity occured by whitening is usually temporary, so you may delay the treatment if you experience it.

Excessive whiteners may damage the teeth enamel, so please make sure to consult with our dentists in Turlock.
